With over 20 years of hands-on experience, we are experts in environmental markets, including the carbon markets. Well-connected and pragmatic, we operate with discretion and objectivity, helping clients navigate complex markets with clarity and confidence.

AFSL

An Australian Financial Services Licence is required when operating in the carbon markets into, out of and within Australia.

We hold an AFSL for ACCUs, international offsets and derivatives. Our licence allows us to provide advice on and deal in carbon offsets and derivatives. Licence number: 547150.

We hold our own AFSL, with our organisational competence directly assessed by ASIC. Our team members have applied for, obtained and managed multiple AFSLs since 2012.

Hands-on experience

Our team brings extensive experience, with team members actively working on project development since 2005 and transacting millions of offsets, credits and certificates annually across Australia’s and international environmental markets.

Beyond trading, our team members have directly worked on more than $1.1 billion in environmental market transactions, including supporting the sale of multiple carbon companies, capital raisings for fund managers, and the financing of projects.

This combination of market execution and corporate‑level transaction experience allows us to support clients with both day‑to‑day market participation and strategic, long‑horizon decisions.

EMA provides three core services: advisory, project development and trading (source/supply). Together, these services support clients across the full lifecycle of environmental market participation.

Advisory — AFSL‑authorised advice, market analysis, transaction support and strategic guidance for organisations participating in, or seeking to participate in, environmental markets.
Project Development — supporting project owners and developers with origination, feasibility, structuring and commercialisation of environmental projects.
Trading (Source/Supply) — sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in carbon and other environmental commodities, supported by deep market networks and practical experience.
